Review attachment suggestions on a measurement photo

Let Cloneable suggest insulators, cutouts and attachment bolts on a photo, then choose which ones become attachments.

Written by Ryan Miller

Cloneable can look at a measurement photo and suggest where the attachments are: insulators, cutouts and attachment bolts. It gives you boxes with a confidence score, and you decide which ones become real attachments on the pole. Nothing is added to the record until you pick it.

You will find it in the pole inspection view, as a side panel headed AI object detection review. The panel tells you the rule in its own first line: Select detections on the photo, then add them as attachments.

Scan a photo and add what it finds

  1. Open the pole in the inspection view and select the measurement photo you want to check.

  2. Start the scan from the Attachment suggestions panel. Choose the area to look at: Pole corridor keeps to the pole itself, Full photo looks everywhere. Start with the corridor.

  3. Read the boxes it draws. Each one carries a confidence figure. Treat them as a first pass to check, not as an answer.

  4. Drag Minimum suggestion confidence to hide the weaker boxes. The slider only filters what you can see. It never selects anything for you, and it never adds anything.

  5. Click the boxes you want on the photo. The panel counts them for you: suggestions visible and selected on photo.

  6. Click Add selected attachments. The button stays greyed until at least one box is selected, and it names the count once they are, so you can check the number before you commit.

Dismissing a box does not throw it away. Restore dismissed brings back everything you set aside, and Run again or Scan again re-runs the detection on the same photo. Cancel review closes the panel without adding anything.

If something goes wrong

  • The panel is not there at all. The suggestion panel does not appear while you are in another mode on that screen, such as calibrating, updating the pole top and bottom, or measuring. Come out of the mode you are in and it returns. Nothing is broken. See Work in the pole inspection view.

  • No boxes at all, or a message saying none meet this confidence level. Lower the minimum to bring them back. If the photo is genuinely unclear, the detection has nothing to work with and a fresh field capture is the answer. See Re-measure a pole from the web.

  • The add button will not light up. Nothing is selected yet. Filtering with the slider is not the same as selecting; you still have to click the boxes on the photo.

  • It suggested something that is not there. That is expected some of the time, and it is why the review step exists. Leave it unselected and it never reaches the record.

Important: the suggestions are a starting point, not a survey. Anything you add this way becomes a real attachment on the pole and goes out with your exports, so check the boxes against the photo before you add them.
