Find your way around the web portal

The left navigation, what each area is for, and where to find your jobs and data.

Written by Ryan Miller

The Cloneable web portal is the browser side of Cloneable. This is where configurations get built, field data gets reviewed, and your data goes back out to wherever it needs to go next.

The left navigation

Everyone sees Dashboard. It is where you land after signing in, and it is your jobs list.

A Data menu holds three more pages: Objects, Files, and Utility Map. Whether you see it depends on your role; it is aimed at org admins, data managers, and the people who build configurations. If you manage a workforce without doing that other work, you still see Utility Map on its own, so you can watch where your crews are without needing access to the underlying data.

Dashboard and Settings

Dashboard is one page, and its views are listed in the Overview card down the left rather than in tabs across the top. Jobs is what you see first. Analytics, Configurations and Exports swap the main panel when you pick them, and Historical in the same card takes you to your archived jobs.

Configurations and Historical only appear if you are an org admin. If someone tells you to open Configurations and you cannot see it, that is why, and it is not something you can switch on for yourself.

Settings is a separate area, reached from your profile menu, with its own list down the side: Profile, Organization, Analytics, Configurations, and Secrets Vault. Configurations shows up in both places and does the same thing either way, so use whichever you land on first.

Where things live

  • Your jobs are on the Dashboard, in the Jobs view, which is the one you land on.

  • Your data objects (poles, spans, and everything else your crews captured) are under Data → Objects.

  • Files your crews attached are under Data → Files.

  • The utility map, which shows your whole organization's data and, if you have turned it on, where your crews currently are, is under Data → Utility Map. This is different from the map you open from inside a specific job.

What only an admin sees

Some pages are limited to your organization's admin: Configurations, Secrets Vault, and the Organization page in Settings. If a teammate does not see one of these, that is expected, not a bug. Ask your organization's admin if you need something changed there.
