Before you try to sign in, make sure someone has invited you. You will get two emails, not one: an invitation telling you your account exists, then a 6-digit sign-in code after you type your email address into the app. The invitation does not contain a code. Signing in
Open UtilityScout and sign in. You will sign in to your organization, so if you work across more than one, check you are in the right one.
NOTE: We do NOT use traditional passwords. Instead, once your account has been created, you will receive a 6-digit login code by email, and your session will be good for two weeks before the app will prompt you to log back in.
Note: Corporate spam filters, Outlook especially, can block or quarantine these codes. Check spam and junk first.
If it is still missing, know that two different emails are involved and they come from two different senders. That is what usually defeats an allowlist. Your invitation comes from cloneable.ai. Your sign-in code is sent by our sign-in provider from its own domain, so allowlisting cloneable.ai on its own will not let the code through. Ask us and we will give your email administrator both senders to allow.
Wait out the first sync
The first time you open the app, and sometimes after a long gap, UtilityScout has to pull down your organization's work before it can show you anything useful.
You cannot skip this, and there is no button to dismiss it. That is deliberate: working from half-synced data would be worse than waiting. On a big organization or a slow connection it takes a while. Do this on wifi rather than on cellular at the first pole.
Pick your job
Choose the job you work from the job list.
Each one shows its status, so you can tell what is in progress from what you have not started.
Everything you do afterwards happens inside that job, so if the map looks empty or shows the wrong area, the job is the first thing to check.
The map is home
There is no list of workflows to choose from. Once you have a job, you are on the map, and that is where the work happens.
Before leaving coverage, also check that your work is syncing.
