The Chrome extension has no Cloneable account of its own. Export Full Model still needs a Cloneable session in this browser.

If you have never signed in, the export fails. Sign in to Cloneable, then export again from the Model Editor.

This is the handover. Your model lives in Katapult, and Cloneable needs a copy of it before you can decide what to bring across.

This is the part people get wrong, so it is worth being exact about it.

Go to your Katapult Pro Model Editor.

If your team reaches Katapult on its own web address, use yours instead. The page is titled Katapult Pro Model Editor and has its own list of sections down the side: attributes, attribute sets, tools, photo elements, exports, map styles and so on.

Then select the model you want to bring across. The editor has a model selector, and this is the step that matters most: the extension exports whichever model you have open. Pick the wrong one and the export will work perfectly and give Cloneable the wrong thing.

You do not need to go into any of those side sections. Once the right model is open, the extension can read all of it.

Open the extension. It should say it is connected, along with your Katapult address.

While you are there, the extension shows you the state of the current job's photos, so if it tells you photos still need starring, that is worth dealing with before you export.

If it does not say connected, sort that out first, because the export control is unavailable until it is.

Choose Export Full Model.

The extension states what that covers: all types, attributes, annotations and classifications. That is the whole model rather than a slice of it, which is why the next stage asks you to narrow it down.

That does two things: it takes a copy of your model, and it opens Cloneable in a new tab, already on the import page. You do not need to go and find that page yourself.

Give it a moment before you expect anything. The extension has to finish reading your model out of Katapult first, and on a large model that is not instant. It shows its progress while it works, and says if part of the model has not arrived yet. If it tells you nothing was captured at all, reload the Katapult page and try again.

The new tab is Cloneable's import page. If your model arrived, the page says so and tells you how many nodes and connections it received. That count is your first useful check: if the number looks far too small, something had not finished loading when you exported, and it is worth going back and exporting again rather than carrying on.

You may also see a brief note that a Katapult model was detected, asking you to choose how to proceed. That choice sits on the same screen as the counts: choose Create New Configuration to start the guided import this guide follows. If your organization already has configurations, it will offer to update one of those instead, which is a different path.

If the import page tells you to use the Chrome extension, and you know perfectly well you already have it, the extension is not the problem. The page has nothing waiting for it.

Cloneable cannot tell the difference between a missing extension and an extension that has not collected anything yet, so it says the same thing either way. The fix is to run the export first, from the extension, on your Katapult page.

That is the single most common stumble on this whole path, and it is worth knowing before you hit it. More detail.

Cloneable's import page reads whatever the extension holds. It does not go and fetch anything from Katapult itself. So on this path the sequence runs one way: export from the extension, then work in the page it opens.

Opening the import page on its own, without exporting first, does not produce an error. It shows you the same card telling you to use the extension, and waits. If you find yourself on a page asking for a model you thought you sent, start again from the extension rather than reloading.

The extension is the route this guide follows, and on this page it is the only self-serve one. If Chrome is genuinely not available to you, ask us before you try to work around it, and we will tell you what to do next.

The extension can show Connected, and Export Full Model can still fail.

Do not keep exporting from Katapult until you have signed in. The model will not land.

This is not the same as an export that appears to do nothing. If the new tab is not Cloneable, stop. Use My export link does not seem to do anything.

If pressing the export appears to have no effect, or the tab that opens is not Cloneable, stop and check this rather than exporting repeatedly.
