Use this when UtilityScout shows an Image Sync Warning, a photo will not save, or a photo turns out missing later on the phone, the Cloneable web portal, or after delivery. Stay on a stable connection and keep UtilityScout in the foreground until the photo sheet finishes saving, treating the warning as a sign the photo may not be saved yet rather than something to dismiss and ignore.
Clear sync and finish the photo
If Image Sync Warning appears, tap OK so you are not stuck on the overlay.
Open Settings → Sync Status. Wait for pending uploads. If needed, tap Force File Sync.
Confirm the photo was accepted, not only captured: use Accept after Capture Photo, then Continue when required photos are done.
Finish the workflow with Finalize (or the stage Next / Next Step path until finalize). If a spinner shows, wait. Do not force-quit or switch apps mid-save.
Recapture only after sync pressure drops. Avoid starting a large new capture burst on top of hundreds of pending sync items.
On the Cloneable web portal, open the same job on Utility Map. Select the pole or midspan and check whether the photo appears there. A phone-local thumbnail does not always mean the photo is in the cloud.
If Cloneable support asks, open Settings and tap Upload Diagnostic Data. Leave that screen open until upload finishes (it can take a minute).
If something goes wrong
Photos remain missing on the portal after field sync finishes → escalate the same way.
Photos visible on the device but never on the portal after Force File Sync → escalate.
Include the Utility Map job link, the object link (select the pole or midspan, then copy the URL), a screenshot of the warning or missing photo, and whether Sync Status was clear. See What to send.
Important: The warning repeats on many poles after sync looks clear → Create a ticket.
Next: save each photo the durable way, from Capture through Finalize, so the warning does not come back. See Take photos, and review them.
