This is where you check, correct and sign off a measured photo. It is the most involved screen in the portal, and it rewards knowing three things before you start.

Getting there, and why you should not bookmark it
Open it by clicking, not by editing an address.
Open the job on the map and select the object you want.
In the panel that opens, on its data view, find the measurement entry.
Choose to measure the pole from there.

A hand-edited link to this screen usually loads forever. The map and this tool use different names for the same thing in their addresses, so an address copied from one and edited for the other looks right and never finishes loading. There is no error message. It simply spins. If you see an endless loading spinner here, the link is wrong. Go back to the map and click through.
The screen renames itself
It is called pole inspection when you open a pole and midspan inspection when you open a midspan, and more changes than the title. A midspan lists wires where a pole lists attachments, and the measuring tools (circumference, pole top and bottom, and the estimated class) only ever appear on a pole. Do not expect one to look exactly like the other.
If it calls itself measurement inspection, it could not tell what kind of object you opened. That is worth mentioning to us rather than working around.
Span / Guy View
This is the top-down view of guy wires and spans. Open Span / Guy View in the right-hand panel.
The diagram puts the pole at the center. Spans are dark lines. Guy wires are yellow lines with a gray anchor.
Click one span or guy to select it. Click a second one to see the angle between them.
Use Display next to Spans: or Guys: to hide that set on the diagram.
If the panel says No span or guy data available, this object has none to show.
Cloneable prints this note on the view:
On screen: "Disclaimer: Angles are magnetic readings from the iPhone or iPad's compass and may have some error."
Treat those angles as a review aid, not a survey-grade bearing.
The three ways of editing, and they behave differently
This is the part worth learning, because the screen is inconsistent about it and that inconsistency causes most of the confusion.
Adjusting the photo opens a small panel that stays open while you work. Brightness and contrast do not alter the original photo, and Cloneable saves your adjustment with the photo when you save. Cloneable still applies it the next time you open this screen. PDF reports use the photo as captured, so an adjustment made here does not carry into one. Cloneable puts it plainly:
On screen: "Non-destructive — the original photo is unchanged. Use Save Changes to persist."
Measuring the circumference puts you into a mode on the photo itself. The button you pressed changes to say you are done measuring, and pressing it again is how you come out. The reading updates live as you drag, so what you see in the panel is what you are about to keep.
Updating the pole top and bottom also puts you into a mode, but this one swaps the button for a cancel and a save of its own. That save belongs to the mode, not to the page, so using it does not save everything else you have changed.
Why a button is grayed out
Because you are already in one of those modes. They are mutually exclusive, so entering one disables the others until you come out.
Re-calibrate has a second cause, and that one cannot be fixed from this screen. Hover the button. If a tip appears, the photo itself cannot be re-solved on the web: either it was an AR capture, or it was taken without high-accuracy metadata. Both need a fresh capture in the field. Adding attachments behaves differently again: rather than graying out, it disappears from the toolbar while you measure. Nothing is broken. Finish or cancel what you are in and it comes back.
If a control you expected is missing or dead, check whether you are still in a mode before reporting it.
Adding attachments on the photo
Add attachments sits on the photo toolbar. It disappears while you measure. Finish or cancel the mode first, then it comes back.
Choose Add attachments.
Click the photo where the attachment sits.
Choose Stop adding attachments when you are done.
Come out of the mode, then save.

Saving
One save covers the page, and Cloneable confirms when it has worked.
Because the modes each behave differently, the habit that avoids trouble is simple: come out of whatever mode you are in, then save, then leave. Do not rely on being warned on the way out.
When it says it could not line up the pole
You may see a note that Cloneable could not line the detected pole up with the measure line and uses standard placement instead.
It means Cloneable will not curve heights around a pole surface it does not trust. Attachments sit flat against the measure line instead. The panel's fine print gives the cause for that photo, and it is one of two: either the detected pole does not line up with the measure line, for example because detection latched onto a background trunk or because the line was drawn beside the pole, or detection found nothing usable in the photo at all.
There is an option to run detection again, which is worth one try. If the photo is genuinely too poor, the honest answer is that this one needs recapturing rather than reprocessing.
Estimated class
Where Cloneable shows an estimated pole class, Cloneable calculates that from the measured circumference and the pole's measured height against the industry standard. It is an estimate offered to sanity-check your measurements, not a certification, and it should agree with what you already expect for that pole. If it does not, look at the circumference and the height before you look at the pole.
Getting a midspan out on its own
A midspan's panel offers to export it as a PDF or as a zip, which is useful when someone needs one span rather than a job.
