Cloneable Web Portal Overview

A walkthrough of the Cloneable web portal for project managers and admins, including dashboard navigation, job management, configurations, and key actions.

The Cloneable web portal is the browser-based companion to the Utility Scout mobile app. It's where project managers, admins, and office staff manage jobs, review field data, configure projects, and trigger exports. This guide covers the key areas of the portal and what you can do in each.

In This Guide

Logging In

  1. Go to the Cloneable web portal (app.cloneable.ai) in your browser

  2. Enter your email address

  3. Cloneable will send a six-digit code to that email

  4. Enter the code to access your dashboard

Note: There is no password to create or remember. Cloneable uses email-based authentication. Each time you log in, you verify through a code sent to your email.

The Dashboard & Job List

After logging in, you'll see the dashboard. Click Jobs in the navigation to see all jobs in your organization.

The job list shows:

  • Job name

  • Status column (color-coded: Draft, In Progress, Completed, Cancelled)

  • Configuration used

  • Created date and other metadata

Jobs can be organized into groups (folders) for easier management. Ungrouped jobs appear separately.

To create a new job, click Add Job in the top right of the dashboard. You'll choose between Import from Katapult or Create Blank Job.

Opening a Job

Click View Map on any job to open the map view. From here you can:

  • See all poles, spans, and midspans plotted on the map

  • Click on individual poles to view field data, photos, and measurements

  • Review attachment annotations on scaled pole photos

  • Check completion status across the project (collected vs. uncollected poles)

  • Trigger exports to Katapult to send data back

Tip: The map view updates in real time as fielders sync data from their devices. You can monitor field progress without contacting the team directly.

Job Statuses

Each job has a status that tells your team where it stands. You can change the status by clicking the status column in the job list and selecting from the dropdown.

Status

What It Means

Draft

Job has been created or imported but not started. Imported jobs default to this status.

In Progress

The job is actively being worked. Change to this before sending fielders out.

Completed

Fieldwork is done and the job is ready for export or review.

Cancelled

The job has been voided. Cancelled jobs can be cleaned up by an admin.

Note: Statuses are a communication tool for your team. They don't trigger any automated actions in the system.

Configurations

Configurations define how a job works. Each configuration controls:

  • Data templates: What fields and photos are required for each pole

  • Attribute mapping: How data maps between Cloneable and Katapult (for import/export jobs)

  • Visualization rules: How poles and nodes appear on the map (colors, icons, conditional styles)

  • Import/export triggers: The connection between Cloneable and Katapult for data transfer

Configurations are created by importing a Katapult model or by setting one up manually. Each job is linked to one configuration.
