Getting Started as a Fielder

Get productive in UtilityScout fast: app basics, then the Steps 1-15 field workflow in order.

Your field workflow

You do not need to understand how your organization's configuration was built, just how to use it. Your administrator has already set up your data-entry form, dropdown choices, and measurement workflow; your job is to collect good data with them.

Get comfortable with the app itself first: App and map basics covers the map, the job selector, and the bottom sheet you will use constantly.

Then work through the field workflow in order, start to finish:

Each of those articles already tells you where the steps differ if your organization does not use Katapult, so you do not need to figure that out yourself; just follow the labels as you go.

One thing worth knowing up front: if a dropdown is ever missing a choice you need, that is a configuration change for your administrator to make, not something to work around in the field. Note it and ask, rather than picking the closest wrong value.
