Re-measure a pole from its photo in the web portal

Re-measure a pole's height, circumference, and attachments from its photo in the web portal, without a field return trip.

Applies to: All customers.

If a pole's height or an attachment looks wrong after the field visit, you often do not need to send a crew back. The Cloneable web portal can re-measure the pole from the high-accuracy photo the crew already captured.

Open the measurement view

From the pole's detail panel, open the photo-measurement view for that pole. This is the browser version of the on-device measurement screen. Choose Back to Map when you are done.

Re-measure the height

Choose Calibrate (or Re-calibrate if it was measured before), then place the two targets on the photo, align the guide to the pole, set the top and the base, and Save. Save is what commits the new measurement.

Important: Re-measuring works only on a high-accuracy photo, not a Standard or AR photo. If the pole was shot in Standard or AR mode, the re-measure tools will not be available and it has to be re-shot in the field.

Circumference, attachments, and export

  • Measure circumference. If the crew did not capture a birthmark, choose Measure Circumference, use Snap to Edges to fit the pole edges, then finish. You can also enter a value manually.

  • Edit attachments. Attachment markers can be added, moved, and reclassified (class, type, owner) in this view, the same as on the phone.

  • Export just this pole. Use Export as PDF or Export to Zip to export the single pole from this screen. The bulk map export covers the whole job; these buttons are for one pole.

Tip: Re-measuring in the office from an existing photo saves a return trip whenever the original photo was captured in high accuracy.
