Edit a job on the web map

Review a job and add or adjust poles, spans, and other objects on the Cloneable web portal map.

Applies to: All customers.

Who: Org Admin or Analyst / Fielder.

Most field data is collected on the phone, but the Cloneable web portal has its own full map where an office user can review a job and add or adjust objects without going to the field. It is useful for desk edits, fixing something a crew missed, or laying out work before a visit.

Open the web map

From the Dashboard, open a job and choose View on Map, or open the Utility Map from the left navigation. The job's poles, spans, guys, midspans, and any custom objects load onto the map.

  • Switch the base map. Use the base map control to switch between Satellite and Topo.

  • Show or hide object types. Open the Layers panel to keep a busy map readable.

  • Find an object. Use the search box to jump straight to one.

Add objects to the job

The toolbar has a tool for each object type your configuration allows:

  • Add Pole places a new pole where you click.

  • Add Span connects two poles.

  • Add Measurement Point adds a point along a span, such as a midspan.

  • Custom point and draw-line tools add any custom types your organization has set up.

Pick a tool, click on the map to place, and the object is created in the job. Guy anchors are added on the phone, not here.

Edit an object and export

Click any object to open its detail panel on the right, where you can edit its attributes, photos, and history. When the job is ready, use Export Data from the toolbar to send it to Katapult or download it as a PDF, KMZ, or CSV.

Note: Adding and editing objects on the web map is a full editing surface, not a read-only view. Changes save to the job the same way field edits do, and they will export.
