Before you go out (on Wi-Fi)
Signed in, sync toggle ON, wait until it reads fully Synced (pending count 0, including photos).
Pre-load the map: pan and zoom the whole job area at working zoom so the tiles cache; switch Standard and Satellite if you will use both.
Set up the stick in Settings > Pole measurement settings: target Version (1 or 2), Bottom Pole Length (1 = six-foot, 2 = eight-foot), tilt zeroing done once per phone and case.
If you use AI attachment detection, run it once on Wi-Fi so its model downloads before you lose signal.
Job status set to In Progress; device charged; stick and targets packed.
Leaving Wi-Fi: toggle sync OFF so it does not slow you down in the field.
At the first pole
Right job open; measurement mode set (press and hold the measure button). High Accuracy for poles, Standard for midspans.
Stick strapped to the pole and up early. After you remove an extension, reset Bottom Pole Length to 1 or your heights will be off.
Sanity-check the first measurement: the two-pass tilt must agree within about half a degree. If heights look consistently wrong, suspect the target version or Bottom Pole Length before tilt.
Colors: red = unmeasured, blue (default) = finalized, yellow = currently selected.
Done for the day
Back on good Wi-Fi, toggle sync back ON and let it run (about 30 to 60 minutes).
Confirm fully synced, including photos (pending 0, pill green) before you consider the job done.
Do not sign out or reinstall until everything has synced.
Your field job ends at "fully synced." Reviewing, exporting, and verifying happen in the web portal and may be your job or the back office's, depending on your organization.
What not to do
Export before every device shows Synced (data and photos upload separately, and photos lag).
Reinstall the app before fully synced; a reinstall clears unsynced work.
Pre-edit or rotate photos; the app sets orientation for you.
Trust a "Completed" export at a glance; open the Export Issues panel and work each flagged object.
Katapult paths only:
Delete or re-create a Katapult node after import; it breaks the link and that object fails to export.
Assume deleting a pole in Cloneable removes it from Katapult; deletions are one-way.
Edit data in Katapult after import; it is not a live sync and your next export can overwrite it.
Re-import a job into a new Cloneable job to "start fresh," or fire several imports at once; re-import into the same job instead.
