When measuring poles or mid spans, you can choose between Standard and High Accuracy modes depending on your project needs. This guide will walk you through changing the accuracy mode.

Prerequisites

  • You must have at least one pole or mid span already placed on your map

  • Ensure you have a clear view of the map area you're working in

Steps to Change Accuracy Mode

Step 1: Select a Pole or Mid Span

First, tap on any pole or mid span marker on your map. The selected object will be highlighted, indicating it's ready for measurement.

Step 2: Access the Accuracy Menu

With a pole or mid span selected:

  1. Locate the Measure Pole button (typically found in the bottom toolbar)

  2. Press and hold the Measure Pole button for 2-3 seconds

  3. A context menu will appear

Step 3: Choose Your Accuracy Mode

From the context menu, you'll see two options:

  • Standard Accuracy - Faster measurements suitable for quick reference measurements or inaccessible poles

  • High Accuracy - More precise measurements that may take slightly longer but provide enhanced precision for critical infrastructure

Tap your preferred option to select it.

Step 4: Confirm Your Selection

Once selected, the menu will close automatically and your accuracy mode is now set. You'll notice:

  • The app remembers your accuracy preference for all subsequent pole measurements

  • You don't need to change this setting for each pole - it stays active until you change it again

  • Your selected mode will be used for all pole measurements in your current session and future sessions
